Jordan I feel this game was such a creative use of the assets! I really liked at the beginning where it takes the apartment mapping and creates it into a reality, it just felt so satisfying and a great way to incorporate the assets. I would say though because the WASD moved both the camera and the fish, it was at times really confusing to know where I was moving as the player.
Jordan! This is super cool. Your games all have this super clean and polished feel and I think you nailed it again with this one. The way the apartment forms out of the plan is really clever, and I like the background music and general aesthetic. One thing I did find was that I was able to escape before the apartment fully grew, so I didn't get to appreciate the placement of all of the furniture until I played it again. Also, and this may just be on my end, but the game ran at a really low framerate on my computer. I don't know if it's just my machine (this thing is pretty janky), but I thought I'd let you know in case it was repeatable. Overall though, great work!
I really love what you did with this game, Jordan! The beginning sets the scene so, so well, I really love that whole transition of the layout becoming a 3D world. I really like the music you chose, but the other sounds are kinda janky at times, especially at the very beginning when the water is flooding the apartment. Also, the controls get a bit weird, I think that maybe pressing the left and right keys are rotating the camera at a different rate than the rate at which they're rotating the fish's orientation, but that's just a guess. Other than that, great job!
I love the aesthetic and theme, and the jazz really adds to it. The controls though are problematic at times, as I don't actually go forward when I press w, I go in a random direction instead. Additionally, I wish the fish was centered in the camera.
I like being a fish who finally gets a chance to escape its tank because the entire house is flooded. The game is appealing because in such a disastrous environment there is still smooth jazz playing. The only problem I have is that the controls still need fixing: sometimes after I turn W and S are completely reversed.
Jordan, you're absolutely nuts! I've always wanted to be a fish escaping from my captors! I think you did a good job with the setting and mood, I feel like I'm playing one of those arty indie games. The controls felt a bit off when I was turning, it felt like I was being pushed by the water, not sure if that was intended. I thought finding the exit was a bit easier than expected, I think it would've been cool to maybe find some kind of object to open the exit perhaps? Nonetheless, great job, Jordan!
Love the concept! The intro was super interesting, and I love the introduction of the apartment and the fish that resides in it. The only thing I would have to say is that the fish controls veer to the right somehow? Right diagonally? It threw the control of the game a bit off, and made it a bit wonky.
