Week Thirteen - Final Project


This week, my group made a lot of progress on our game. I personally improved the Npc civilians to get them to behave properly when scared and running from the player. I also made it so that when the player shoots near a civilian, they get scared and run away. Additionally I implemented the cops into the scene, getting them to spawn and walk around. I also implemented the star system that tracks how much "heat" the player has and whether cops should pursue them. This system is based off what crimes the player commits in a short time span. Finally, I started tracking the crimes the player commits so that we can output them at the end of the game like in GTA.

Next, I plan on implementing the mission system in the game where players can do specific things in certain areas of the map for large points.

The progress is going good, and I am proud of how much work we've completed, but there is still a lot of work to be done on the project to get it where I want it for next week.
